FAQ

What to expect during your photo session?
My vision in photography is natural everyday life. Honestly, a posed picture won't bring true emotion like a natural life photograph. I will not ask your child to "say cheese" or try to make them sit in forced poses. My goal is to capture images of people just being themselves and I want to give you portraits in which you can see the natural beauty of "you". It's your life and I want to capture it as you will remember it. Pure. True. Real. You should expect direction from me on how to look pleasant but natural during the session. Expect to have fun, smile, and laugh.

What to wear?
-For families, keep it simple. Blue jeans or khakis and solid shirts usually photograph nicely. If you don't want to match try to wear coordinating colors. Avoid busy patterns, prints, or logos that can distract from the subject.
-For seniors, hip and fun is great. Dress in what you love. Colors that are vibrant and rich provide a great "pop" in your portraits. Accessories are fun such as, scarves, hats, jackets, etc. Feel free to bring what you like! If you would like to have wardrobe changes be sure to bring more than one outfit.
-For maternity, you should wear clothing that will show off that wonderful baby bump! Wardrobe changes also give a nice variety and fun to your photographs.
-For Newborns, nothings better than their birthday suit! If you prefer a diaper that's fine too I will just use a diaper cover to cover up logos and characters on disposable diapers. Bring clothing that is simple onesies and dress your little one in loose fitting clothing the day of your photo shoot to ensure there aren't any sock lines and such. If there is a special outfit you want your child photographed in please feel free to have it on hand. Accessories can be fun for newborns as well. Bring headbands, bows, hats, and blankets.

When's the best time?
For outdoor sessions I prefer to shoot early morning starting around 9AM or late afternoon after 5PM. I try to avoid mid-day sessions due to the harsh sun.
For indoor sessions I'll book between 9-5.

Maternity Info-
I like to book maternity sessions during the 3rd trimester. Refer to what you should wear above and bring anything special for your little one. Things like a stuffed animal for them, a special blanket, a pair of shoes, or an ultrasound photo.

Newborn Info-
A newborn is 2 weeks old and younger. It's best to discuss your session before your baby's due date so I can remain flexible in my schedule. If you deliver your baby and haven't discussed a session don't worry! Just call me as soon as you arrive home and I will work you in. I understand the stress of a new mommy. You're busy and I don't want you to miss out on the beautiful images of your newborn. These photos are all taken in the comfort of your home with very few possibly outside local to your home so everyone is relaxed and we can get the best possible results.

Family Info-
My goal for families is to be yourself and enjoy your family. Laugh and love and I'll do the rest. Don't stress if your toddler runs around and doesn't want to sit still or your teenager won't smile. I want to capture your family as it is in real life. I want you to feel relaxed and when that happens I'll capture images that you can relate to and remember back fondly to these times in your life.

Senior Info-
This is a time in your life you want to show how you are growing into an adult. You're fun. You're sophisticated. You have talents and interests and now you can show them off and remember these times forever. Bring things that interest you to your photo shoot so we can incorporate them in your photos.

Couple/Engagement Info-
Show me the Love! I want to capture the connection between the couple. Keep clothing simple. If your engaged make sure to have your ring on and ready for it's close up!
